Made slowly, by hand, in the workshops of Morocco. Chosen one piece at a time, and carried home to Texas, to be lived with and handed down.

Three crafts to begin with

The first collection gathers the work of three trades, each one older than any of us, each one still done the long way.

  1. I

    Zellige

Glazed clay, cut tile by tile with a hammer, laid into stars.

    Clay · Glaze
  2. II

    Hammered brass

Lanterns and trays, chased and pierced so the light comes through in patterns.

    Brass · Fire
  3. III

    Hand-knotted wool

Rugs from the Atlas, knot by knot, in undyed ivory and earth.

    Wool · Time
